Four cities for dev

4Cities4Dev is funded by the European Union. The partners are four European cities led by Turin, and Slow Food.

Seven case studies in different African countries were identified as representative of the Slow Food approach, and they have been twinned with the partner cities.

On September 22, the social and environmental forum "Rural !" in Montreuil-Bellay (province of Maine-et-Loire) invites Slow Food and the city of Tours to "animate a space devoted to the exchange of ideas, practices and emotions on the topic of RURAL LIVING". It will be an opportunity for the two partners to present the 4Cities4Dev project to the public. The program includes: a travelling exhibition and the dissemination of videos on Pokot ash yoghurt from Kenya and wild coffee from the Harenna forest in Ethiopia; taste workshops to meet - through a sensory experience - the fishing communities from Mauritania and their mullet botargo; an activity for children to explain the "One Thousand Gardens in Africa" project, as well as the work of the Ivory Coast communities and the seasons of fruit and vegetables.
